Vasatokka calls for adventure.
The adventure race, Wild Vasatokka Race, held in Inari for the fourth time, will take place on Saturday, September 6th, 2025.
- The race starts at 9:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM.
- The competition evolves and changes a bit every year; this year’s significant change is the team size: this time, participants will compete in teams of two.
- The entry fee is 40€ per person, which includes the race, lunch, and sauna after the race
- Great prizes await the top teams.
EVENT SCHEDULE
- 9:00 AM: Competition office opens
- 9:30 AM: Group warm-up
- 9:45 AM: Gather for the mass start
- Teams will then spread out to the different checkpoints, each with its own map.
- Some checkpoints involve teaming up with another group.
- Only the time spent at each checkpoint counts toward your score – there’s no overall race time.
- The finish line closes at 2:00 PM, giving you plenty of time to complete all the checkpoints.
- After crossing the finish line, you can relax in the sauna or wait for lunch and the awards ceremony, starting around 2:30 PM.
- The event area and saunas remain open until 4:00 PM.
ABOUT THE RACE
The Wild Race features a variety of checkpoints that call for solid fitness and teamwork, plus a dash of nature knowledge and problem-solving skills. A spirit of adventure and some map-reading ability will help you navigate the forests and waterways of Riutula.
Come with an open mind, enjoy the movement, the beautiful Inari wilderness, and the camaraderie. You’ll head home one adventure richer!
